Wild Hive Arts
Wild Hive Arts is the artistic creations of Chad, an artist from Salt Lake City. His art mainly consists of wild, over the top creations using unconventional, creative materials. Artistic creations range from a 40’ mural made of duct tape to a 20’ mural made of carpet samples to a 7’ flag made of railroad spikes.
In Wild Hive Arts, anything is possible.
Why Wild Hive Arts?
Every story needs a start. Mine starts with my grandparents. The words ‘hive arts’ is an anagram using the first two letters of each of my grandparents’ names. Who I am and what I’ve accomplished is directly related to those who have come before me and my artistic name is an effort to honor them.
‘Hive’ is a direct relation to the place I adore and have chosen to call home. Salt Lake City, Utah is an incredible city that I have grown to love. Utah’s nickname is the beehive state and beehive motifs are found throughout the state, from sculptures on the state capitol building to being prominently featured on the state flag.
Finally, ‘wild’ is one of the best words I have found to describe my art. My art is big, over the top, and one of a kind. It is creations that others don’t think possible. It’s, simply put, wild.
